for me there are two sucky things about traveling: 1) packing, 2) coming back. about the latter, i end up feeling anti-social. i want to hide from most people. and once i'm discovered it turns into a broken record: "oh my god, you're back! how was it? what was your favorite part?" and the only words i can find are "it was amazing." i struggle to find a follow-up sentence to that phrase. everything i enjoyed about my trip to japan was internal and intangible. attempting to put it into words feels silly, but still, i try. it was the people. it was the bright lights. it was the food. it was the fact that i was off of work for two weeks. but mostly it was the funny feeling i felt when i stood around completely lost and completely aware of myself at the same time. it was...
